Default ok to sell invites?

forgive me if this is the wrong forum first of all.

my question to you all is: if you were the leader of a top ranked guild (cape trimmed guild) would you sell invites to random people? (the average price is 100k to a former #1 tourney winner or w/e)

i for one wouldn't send invites to random pve newbs that have no idea what balanced means. i compare this to whoring you and your guildies out for pixel money.. but this is just my opinion.

what about you guys?

I personally wouldn't do it.

But for those that do, meh....their choice.

i find it kind of dumb and what idiot would pay for 100k for ONE member when they can spend 10k and get a full guild ?

It bothers me more when people get mad because someone likes pve more than pvp. Like calling someone a pve scrub because they like it better and don't pvp too much. Just seems childish to me. If someone wants to do something more than something else, what is it to you?

I don't think the issue is whether a guild should pay to invite strangers. The real issue is whether strangers could trust that the guild won't boot them after they get invited and pay whatever the cost is.

To me, any guild selling invites smells of scam

It's a commodity like everything else, no worse than selling run's to low level's so they can get max armour

It's a service like any other.

If you're bad, you purchase your way into a guild. Just like you'd pay someone to run you to grotto at lvl7, you pay someone to let you into their guild so that you can screenie yourself wearing a cape.

If they pay for it, which people probably do, then I see nothing wrong with inviting them and them giving you 100k, really.

Money is money. Their choice.

Why do people even care. You would have to be stupid to pay 100k for an invite. It's far more fun to play the game yourself than try to get a massive epeen stroke for being in a trimmed guild

Let idiots get dragged into it.

Speaking of which, can they remove [eF]'s gold cape status now?

It's a game. Get back to me when morale codes of what's right and wrong can be programmed into a game.

I'm going to make it into a Sardelac thread. I'd totally pay 100k for them to lose that trim.

If PvE scrubs want to pay over 100k to be in a guild with a gold trim, let them. If I was leader/officer of a guild with a trim and people were willing to pay gold to show off my cape, sure, it's free gold.

No, I'm not calling PvE players scrubs. Read this post.
